FAQ: Does the bullet attract a magnet?

A: Some Ranges in the western states will not allow the use of any ammo that attracts a magnet in an effort to prevent forest or brush fires caused by sparks. Because we frequently are asked if the bullet attracts a magnet - we provide the information as part of our description to reduce the number of calls and emails we would otherwise receive. If we identify a bullet as attracting a magnet, it may mean that the bullet has a steel jacket, or that there is some ferrous material in the gilding metal.

  

WARNING

All ammunition is subject to deterioration over time.
Customers should expect that 5% to 15% of the cartridges in any can may exhibit some stages of discoloration or corrosion or other abnormalities. As with any surplus ammunition, each and every round should be carefully checked before use.
Deformed or otherwise suspect rounds should not be fired.
