Orest
What an outstanding organization!
I was registered to shoot the Hearst Doubles, Carbine, Vintage, Springfield & Garand matches this year. I unfortunately had to leave suddenly right after the Carbine match. I will most likely never medal at Camp Perry, so my T shirts are my medals.
I e mailed customer service and asked if there were any left over could I please have those for the Vintage, Springfield, & Garand matches. The door bell rang a little while ago and Fed Ex dropped off a box with the T shirts. I didn't know if you would even have any left over, much less all three in my size...and a month after the matches.
I as a naturalized citizen from Canada (immigrated in 1988, became a citizen in 1993) feel it is an honor and priviledge just to be able to shoot, much less at Camp Perry on ranges named for medal of honor winners. My Dad fought with the RAF in North Africa, Malta, Sicily, and Italy - landed at Salerno afternoon of D 1.
My father in law fought in North Africa, Sicily and Italy with the Red Bull 34th Division. My son in law is a retired Marine and my grandson (his son) is a serving Marine. This might give you some idea of how I feel about this country, all who have served to keep her safe, the CMP, and the national matches.
These T shirts are cherished by me.
Please thank all who were involved in getting them to me.

I was looking at the Anschutz 22's on the sales page. Since I would have to pay a local FFL to take delivery it occured to me to have it shipped to Perry in my state of residence and combine its pick-up (and ATF forms/background check) with a shopping trip to the North Store. Question is-can the North Store take delivery and do the FF transfer to me there? Rifle would be paid in full via mail order assuming such will not be in stock at the NS. Thank you

Hello, I am considering purchaseing a service grade HRA from the CMP. My question comes as a two parter. PART 1: I currently reside in Northern CA. and will be visiting family in Alabama this December. Can I pickout a garand in store ( all CMP requirements met ) and have it mailed to Ca. ? PART 2: which would you recomend as the best shooter? Service grade special / correct grade? P.S.: Being originally from BAMA I wan't to make sure I ain't goin to make the state I now reside in angry. I also don't want to drive all the way from Tuscaloosa to Aniston to be denied as a Californian. ......thank you for filling me in.

Wasn't sure just where to post this one but it could apply to any barreled receiver so I did it here.
Do you think that CMP, SS, would allow us to check HS on a barreled receiver if we brought a STRIPPED bolt to drop in the receiver??
I plan, in two weeks to be there and thought I might give the carbine barreled receivers a look. Might make a good winter project. I'd have my own No-Go, Field gauges, muzzle gauge, etc.
What do ya think?:)

Over the past eight years I have availed myself of the CMP's offerings. Through these offerings, I have been able to relive my personal past as well as this country's and other countries' history. I have also added to my children's and grandchildren's experience and knowledge through these offerings. Hopefully, they will expand on this in the future. I have been able to increase my marksmanship skills to a decent level. I have learned to enjoy the anticipation. I have a reasonably liquid investment to cash in as needed. I have added sufficient knowledge of the workings of a Garand to keep our Honor Guard rifles functioning smoothly.

The time has come to sit back and enjoy what I have, to hone equipment and skills. Once again, thanks to you and the staff for a great eight years.

Of course, I reserve the right to try for just one more plum - say a USMC 40X should they appear.

Orest, I received the new catalog today (I like to keep a hard copy for reference purposes) and while it is a fine catalog, I feel that there is something missing from it. What should be inside the front cover is a short biographical sketch of Mr. Orest Michaels! Next year marks the 15 year anniversary of the CMP and when that catalog goes to press I hope that you get some well deserved recognition for guiding the CMP since day one. While all of us here know you, the CMP now has such a large customer base that there are no doubt many buyers who don't know who the real driving force is behind the CMP. Hopefully others here feel as I do and we can make this happen in 2011.
