Default 2-6 report?

I'm taking my son to the North store (yes, I broke down and decided to do it) on March 6th. We plan to be there when they open.

How was the pickings for the first Saturday in February? I'm wondering it it will be similar for the first Saturday in March.

So, any reports of how it was this past Sat.?

The store was almost a ghost town. Mike, Debbie, and Bob were there. The customers that did show up were not lookers, they were there to look through the stock for the 'one of their dreams'. No more rusty Kimbers, no more SG's. The rest of the rifles were as they have been for the past month or so.

Ugh....doesn't look good for my planned trip in March unless things change. My first choice is a SG, but if there aren't any of those I'll bite the bullet and get a SG Special. If it's that bad though, I'll just send my money and take my chances.

Well, I was there on the 6th and the weather certainly didn't make it easy. After getting stuck in the Comfort Inn parking lot, digging the car out for an hour then having the plow show up, finally making it to the CMP by about 9:30 and finding out I was the only custoemr to be there that morning. As a matter of fact, I was there about an hour and a half and no one else showed up.
I had a nice chat with Jim and Bob and ended up picking up a 5.4 SG SA. They only had 5 SG SA's and most were pretty rough. The one I pick out measured 1.5 ME and 3.0 TE, and had an HRA bolt and complete trigger assy I was looking for to swap with SA parts from an HRA I picked uplast year.

Still a good selection of carbines but nothing stood out.

All in all a good trip except for the weather.
